Camberwell and its neighboring suburbs are a little more expensive to live in, but it’s justified, it’s got all the advantages a modern family could want. With excellent schools, restaurants and expansive parklands, it’s a quick and easy drive or train ride to the city.

There’s nothing better than an early morning trip to the Camberwell Fresh Food Market on a Saturday to pick up some beautiful, fresh fish to BBQ, then doing a bit of window shopping while strolling along Burke Rd on the way to Choclatte for some of the best coffee in Melbourne.

A stroll along leafy streets can give you glimpses of original heritage mansions, as well as; modern opulent home designs, far from the raucous clash of nightclubs and bars.

It’s not hard to spend a whole day at the markets or shops since there’s an amazing art deco cinema and great coffee.

I think being one of Melbourne’s more exclusive and sought-after suburbs makes it a family environment, it’s really safe to walk around in the evening and people who live here are friendly and welcoming, but it does make it a bit of a target, as well. Even though it’s such a safe neighborhood, I think this area is possibly one of the most important for security installments to ward off thieves and prevent break-ins.
