Jim’s Security Email Migration
summary
We are switching to Microsoft Exchange for email, and the old email system will no longer work.
1. You’ll receive a new password to log in. You can sign in on your device or through a web browser.
2. Two-factor authentication (2FA) will be required, meaning you’ll need a code from an app (like Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator) to sign in.
3. First sign-in tip: Use a computer or a device other than your phone, so you can use your phone to complete the 2FA.
4. Important: Contact Jim’s Antennas/Security for help with the new system. Infotech will no longer provide support for email issues.
Why are we changing?
We’re switching from our old email provider (IMAP/Cpanel) to Microsoft 365 for better performance and reliability. Each email account will now have 50GB of storage.
Password Reset Process
• To transfer your old emails, we need to reset your old email account passwords.
• Use the password we send you to log in to the old system temporarily, until the new system is fully set up.
Update:
the new system is now set up. All emails should appear in the M365 account
The Old system will now not send or recieve emails.
use the password you received to log in to the new system.
Troubleshooting:
- You might need to delete your account on your device before you set up the new one
- It is helpful to set up first on a computer, or a device other than your phone, as this makes 2 factor authentication much easier
- You might need to go to the system settings to add the account, rather than the email client app.
- “The New Outlook” on Windows is an update of the free Windows Mail App. It does not seem to be compatible with Microsoft Exchange accounts, try to avoid upgrading from Windows Mail.
- Outlook Online is a very capable email tool. If you have trouble setting up a client App, try the online tool first.
What you need to do:
We are moving from the Infotech IMAP/Cpanel hosted email service to Microsoft 365 Email Service . This is the gold standard in email and will bring improved functionality and avoid spam and delivery problems. We also hope to make use of the features of Microsoft Eexchange software to improve communication with franchisees. Each account will come with 50GB storage.
Important:
This system will be administered by Jim’s Antennas head office, NOT Infotech, so you will need to contact us for assistance, as Infotech will not be able to assist.
Login with your new details.
You have been sent an SMS with your new account details on the. Login using the details in the SMS with one of the following (If you did not receive this please contact us immediately). We recommend you use the “Outlook” app using the links below:

Multi Factor Authentication
Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) requires the user to enter a code from an app to login with a new device, or in the browser.
You will need to use 2 factor authentication –
Use an authenticator app like those listed below. These are free apps, make sure you’re downloading the official apps.
Note: Don’t try signing in to Microsoft Authenticator with email and password, because it will require you to authenticate, which is the reason you’re trying to sign in in the first place!
Authenticator Apps
Microsoft Authenticator Android
Microsoft Authenticator Apple App store
Google Authenticator Apple App store
Instructions for Email Client Apps
In addition to using Outlook App and Outlook.com you should be able to setup most email clients with the new MS 365 email service, see the links below for common options (we will continue to add to this list but let us know if you need help with another application): Note: Make sure you add a new Microsoft 365 account and do not try and adjust settings for the existing account.
What happens to your old email data?
We will transfer your old email data to the new email server once the passwords are reset. You should now have access to your email history through the new Microsoft 365 Email account. If you are missing email history please contact us immediately, the old email server will decommissioned
