Dahua’s video doorbell has a wide range of features, including two-way talk and the ability to transmit video and audio information in real time to a user’s phone. Users can not only see who is at their door using an internal monitor, but are also able to communicate with visitors at their front doorstep from anywhere in the world using the Dahua mobile app!
If you don’t feel like being disturbed while on vacation, rather than receiving an alert that someone is at your door, you can calibrate your doorbell to receive video messages which are saved onto your unit. Not to mention, the two-way talk feature can also be used as a safety precaution to scare off potential intruders or parcel thieves by letting them know they are being recorded and you are calling the police.
As the Dahua doorbell offers high definition (HD) resolution and a large field of view, it is suitable for monitoring the entry points of homes, small retailers or restaurants.
When completing this installation Glenn hardwired his client’s new Dahua doorbell for reliability and longevity, as this removes the need to replace batteries. He also connected the doorbell with the CCTV system’s NVR to ensure that all of the security information is easily accessible and available from one location, and to allow the intercom to continuously record. This is just like having another CCTV camera installed!
