Michael from Jim’s Antennas and Security South Morang recently installed 3 Dahua IR Eyeball Network Cameras and a multi input Dahua NVR with Smart Analytics for a home in Mill Park.

Over the years, turret or ‘eyeball’ cameras have become an increasingly popular choice in home installations. These cameras provide high-quality images similar to their dome counterparts, but without the interference issues caused by the dome’s outer casing, providing higher quality night vision.

When completing this installation, Michael included the Dahua IR Eyeball Network cameras in his client’s tailored security plan because these cameras:
  • have inbuilt Intelligent Video System
  • allow infrared (IR) footage can be captured from up to 50 metres away in low-light conditions, without  the issue of IR reflection or glare
  • are rated IP67 for protection from dust and water, and to IK10 standard for vandal resistance

When installing the camera system Michael enabled remote viewing of the CCTV cameras by helping his client to install and set up a smart phone app on their phone. The option to remotely view footage provides comfort and an increased sense of safety and security by allowing home owners to review footage while on holidays, or perhaps even when at work.

Michael also set up this CCTV system on a 4 channel NVR. As the current system only has 3 cameras, this provide  Daniel’s client with flexibility to upgrade their system in the future. The Smart Analytics functions offered by the NVR,  combined with the inbuilt Intelligent Video System within the cameras also allows users to enable motion detection and create tripwires and intrusion zones.
