Camera resolution refers to the total number of pixels that make up an image. The higher the resolution, the higher the definition and clearer the image .There are many things to consider when selecting camera resolution. Distance of the target from the camera, recorder storage capacity and performance at night are some of the factors that influence the ideal camera resolution for your home or business.

Your primary consideration should be identifying what you’re trying to cover, and in how much detail. For instance, a business installing cameras to monitor thoroughfares in a warehouse will have a different resolution requirement than a business wanting surveillance coverage over their cash tills.
