WARRANTY SERVICE CHECKLIST
If you have recently had a security or alarm system installed by Jim’s Antennas & Security and are experiencing issues, please complete the following checks before contacting us:
CCTV System Checks
- Check all camera connections to ensure cables are intact and securely plugged into both the camera and the NVR/recorder.
- Confirm the system has power by checking that the NVR and any associated power supplies or PoE switches are plugged in, switched on, and displaying normal indicator lights.
- Restart the NVR/Recorder by powering it off for 10 seconds and then turning it back on.
- This often resolves temporary software or network communication issues.
- Verify your network connection by ensuring your modem/router is online and that the NVR is connected via Ethernet (if applicable).
- Test the system locally by connecting a monitor directly to the NVR.
- If your cameras display correctly on the local screen, the issue may relate to your internet connection or mobile app rather than the camera system itself.
Alarm System Checks
- Check the main control panel to ensure it has power and no low-battery or fault indicators are showing.
- Confirm all sensors and detectors are clean of dust & cobwebs, unobstructed and not physically damaged.
- Verify that doors and windows are properly closed, as misalignment can trigger faults.
If you have completed the above checks and are still experiencing issues, please contact the franchisee who completed your installation first. If this is not possible, contact us directly for further assistance.
